Give Me All Your MO-ney!

Filed under: Fun — Andrew Buttigieg @ 2:35 pm

Sponsor my mo and give me all your MO-ney!!!

The mo is part of a fund-raising effort (Movember), raising finds for “men’s health” related issues – specifically prostate cancer and depression.

Here is a photo for your enjoyment!

So – if you ARE a man, or know someone who IS a man – then I ask that you donate something ($1, $5 or whatever – some have been as generous as $1 a day).

IMPORTANT – if you get a chuckle out of the pic – then you MUST make a donation !!         $5 per laugh is the standard rate…     :-)

Donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible.

Please go to http://www.movember.com.au/au/sponsor, enter 4011 as the registration number.

Catch Up Post

Filed under: Other — Andrew Buttigieg @ 3:30 pm

I’ve been busy, busy, busy and have not had time or motivation to blog.

So leave me along and go away! The Internet is full of other places to waste your time, such as Google Video. Go there ;)

While there check out the film clip for White & Nerdy. The similarities are uncanny, and a little depressing at the same time.

Chocolate possum cake

Filed under: Fun — Andrew Buttigieg @ 10:52 am

Yesterday morning when Ben came in to work he was lucky enough to find that one of the local possums was kind enough to leave him some “chocolate possum cake” on his desk ;)

Shortly afterwards we discovered that the possum liked the place so much that he decided to call it home.

It turned out to be quite an eventful morning with the local ranger coming in to trap and remove our new friend “Frisky”. Frisky has now been released back into the wild where he will be able to spread his love and cakes to all.

Dev’Garten Kicks Ass

Filed under: Fun, Tech — Andrew Buttigieg @ 2:07 pm

William attended this year’s Australian Tech.Ed and brought in some of his swag of trinkets to share with the team. One of the trinkets was a Dev’Garten wrist band which I transformed into a head band for my smiley foam guy. Check out the below photos of Dev’Garten Kicking Ass:

They broke my award!!!!!!

Filed under: Work — Andrew Buttigieg @ 4:37 pm

I cannot believe it, I’m out of the office for 2 days and “they” broke “my” award! No respect!

Who are “they” do you ask, they are the management of a different product team here at SDM. They claim it was accidental, but I have my suspicions that it is the result of a premeditated plan that developed from their deep seeded jealousy of “my” achievements.

And what is this award that I’m speaking of? Well it isn’t entirely may award as I was part of the team who developed the solution, but I’ll claim it anyway. It is an award that Microsoft presented to SDM at this year’s Worldwide Partner Conference in Boston for “Excellent Contribution” for a project that I’ve been working on for the last 21 months.

I will get my revenge, even if it’s that last thing I do!

The broken award with the “chicken of shame”.

Laptop with 2 inbuilt burners

Filed under: Fun, Tech — Andrew Buttigieg @ 10:59 am

My work laptop is a DELL Latitude D505 and comes with not only 1, but 2 inbuilt burners.

  1. The CD-RW burner
  2. The Battery

“What do you mean the Battery?” you ask. Well if you haven’t heard DELL is recalling 4.1 million batteries as they have a risk of catching fire or exploding!

If you have have a DELL go to https://www.dellbatteryprogram.com/Default.aspx to see if your at risk.

A dell using inbuilt burner 2.
